ThinkBDW sponsors Colchester Military Wives Choir for Remembrance concert
ThinkBDW has sponsored the Colchester Military Wives Choir to enable the group to sing in a Remembrance concert for MPs in Westminster.
Colchester Military Wives Choir was invited to sing in the beautiful setting of the atrium of Portcullis House at the invitation of Colchester MP Will Quince but needed sponsorship so members and their equipment could make the journey to the prestigious event.
ThinkBDW CEO Robert Day said: “We are delighted to be able to support the Colchester Military Wives Choir and to sponsor them so they can make the trip to London for this important concert.
“Colchester is a military town and Remembrance is a time of year which is especially poignant for everyone who lives here.”
MP Will Quince said: “I am so proud to host Colchester Military Wives Choir in Westminster. They are wonderful ambassadors for our town and I am very much looking forward to joining them to sing one song on the night.”
Natalie Urbaniak, Events Co-ordinator for Colchester Military Wives Choir, said: “2016 marks the fourth year that we have been invited to sing for MPs in Portcullis House. We are all extremely grateful to ThinkBDW for sponsoring the choir to enable us to take part in this wonderful event again this year. The concert is such a special one for the choir, not only because of the setting, but because of the time of year, showing the audience just what it means to be a military wife in Colchester.”
The planned set list includes some classics such as You’ll Never Walk Alone, Moon River and a medley from Les Miserables, as well as some core Military Wives’ songs such as Wherever You Are.
