ThinkBDW’s Saad to provide insight into virtual reality
The innovative use of virtual and augmented reality at leading marketing agency ThinkBDW will be explored by one of its creative experts at an event this week.
Digital Creative Director Saad Minhas will be giving a talk at the meeting of Creative Colchester at the Queen Street Hub on Thursday, March 9. The group, whose members include marketers, photographers, social media experts and designers, convenes several times a year to share their experience and knowledge with one another.
Saad explained: “I will be outlining the differences between virtual and augmented reality to the Creative Colchester members, and explaining the work ThinkBDW does in this field. Annually, we spend a lot of resources on the research and development of new marketing technologies, which helps us stand out from the crowd.”
Amongst other projects, the agency uses virtual reality to bring new property developments to life, putting house-hunters in different spaces without having to take a single step.

Saad is also being sponsored by ThinkBDW to complete a part-time PhD at the University of Essex, focusing on using virtual reality models to improve driverless cars. He recently presented his scientific findings at the European Conference on Computer Vision in Amsterdam.
